Professional Development

Richards Institute of Education and Research - Offering a refreshingly different way to approach learning, Education Through Music (ETM) frees adults to teach and parent in accordance with the joyful nature of children. Through song and play, ETM provides a gateway for contemporary understanding of learning, motivation, child theory and cognitive development. Since 1969, the staff of the Richards Institute of Education and Research has traveled North America offering a variety of courses and workshops in communities like yours.

University of Houston Preparatory and Continuing Studies- Founded in September 1998, the Preparatory and Continuing Studies (PCS) program facilitates exemplary music education in the form of private instruction, professional development, and community outreach. PCS is a non-credit, non-degree granting program serving more than 750 students annually from throughout the state of Texas and the greater Houston area. Instructors are Moore's School of Music faculty and graduate students, area music specialists, and guest clinicians from around the country. Students range in age and ability from toddlers and preschoolers to senior citizens, and beginners to professional musicians.
